Manic Panic
Design

Two fashionistas in the 1970s New York punk scene started a little boutique called Manic Panic on the Lower East Side. These sisters, becoming punk icons themselves, sold their creations to the likes of Joey Ramone, Cyndi Lauper, and Debbie Harry. The foundation for their business became their cruelty free hair dyes, which have now been seen on models in couture runway shows.

The new crest emphasizes their history but also reflects the now fashion forward attitude about dying your hair. Furthermore, the paint cans represent that the act of dying your hair is a form of self expression.

Pinkie's Bakery – E-Commerce Website
Design & Art Direction
They came to us with a logo and a color scheme and asked us to create a website that visually represented their ethos. Thus we created a website that communicated beauty admist the urban, industrial landscape of SoMa where they are located. This e-commerce site tells their story and enhances their web presence.

Boulevard
Design
The restaurant in downtown San Francisco is known for it’s modern cuisine and Art Nouveau decor. The client asked for a website that was “dripping with photography” and that would attract the young professional twenty-something crowd. Thus this proposed direction leverages elements from their existing brand and combined them with modern elements to make the connection between their cuisine and interior decor. The homepage is a photographic showcase so that one experiences their ambiance on the web.

Cocal-Cola Sports & Entertainment Manual
Design

This booklet highlights company values for 2014 for all divisions falling under Sports & Entertainment. Interactive pockets are placed throughout the report as a fun way of teaching company facts. Each card is a hand-done collage honoring each department e.g. cinema, music, sports and gaming. When the cards are put together, they create a large poster showing a scene inspired by the ethos of the company. Also, each card has an augmented reality piece to allow continued team building and “away from the boardroom” tutorials/fun.

Horn OK Please
Design

Horn OK Please is a gourmet, no waste Indian food delivery service. The name comes from the words found on the back of delivery vehicles and trucks in India. The system evokes the excitement one feels when riding in a decked out rickshaw with fabric, patterns, and tassels dangling in your face. The food packaging is biodegradable and comes in a reusable carry bag.

El Sistema
Design

El Sistema, brainchild of TED prize winner José Abreu, is the successful Venezuelan government organization that teaches music to impoverished children in hopes that the confidence gained by being in an orchestra will be a positive influence on other parts of their lives. With this branding system, I wanted to capture the youth, spirit, vibrance and hope of their performances. The arrangement of the elements into patterns are an allusion to the rhythm and pitch of music.

The screen printed posters could not have happened without the help of Erick Montes.
